We care for our community, and we are honored to serve every family that comes through our doors with integrity and love.
We are pleased to announce that Lee Shurtleff has assumed ownership and operation of the Shurtleff Funeral Homes from his brother Mike, who continues to assist Lee in serving the needs of our area families.
The Shurtleff Funeral Homes provide loved ones with personalized assistance, ranging from traditional funerals and burials to cremation services and memorials.
We welcome your queries and will readily meet with you in your home or ours to discuss your needs and options.
Our local heritage dates to 196o when our dad, Phil, purchased the Alvin Booth Co., in Groton, which then consisted of a funeral home, furniture store and ambulance service. Phil managed the business until 1974 and then operated several local concerns until his passing in 2010.
In 1985. Michael established the Shurtleff Funeral Home in Genoa, and in 1989 in Groton at the former Booth location. Spacious, new accommodations were constructed on Lincoln Ave. in 1994. Phil's legacy of service and personal attention to the needs of our friends and neighbors carries on through Mike and Lee.
We look forward to further serving our local communities during their times of need at the Shurtleff Funeral Home
