Susan G. Bower, 67, of Genoa, passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on April 1, 2025 after a brief illness.
Susan was born on November 25, 1957 in Auburn, a daughter of the late Paul R. and Christine (Henjes) Grisamore. She was a graduate of Southern Cayuga Central School and Alfred State College.
Sue farmed and worked throughout her life in the well-known family enterprise, Grisamore Farms, alongside her parents and sisters. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Douglas E. Bower; children: Benjamin Bower (Randi) and Rachel Leonardo (Jonathan); grandchildren: Root and Myzel Wintamute-Bower and Shai and Jonah Leonardo; sisters: Joanna Cornell (Tim) and Betsy Leonard (Nate); and her nieces and nephews: Simon Ingall, Jesse Ingall, Kody Cornell, and Gracie Cornell. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Paul Grisamore II, and a sister, Mary A. Grisamore.
A private celebration of her life will be held by the family at a later time.
