Sandra J. Wright, 73, of Groton, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024 at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center after a brief illness.

Sandy was born on June 4, 1951 in Ithaca, daughter of the late Robert E. and Norma (Tyler) Wright, Jr. A graduate of the Ithaca City Schools, she worked as an electro-mechanical assembler at Precision Filters in Ithaca, and was a reservationist for 11 years at Disney in Orlando, FL. 

She was a member of the Groton Assembly of God Church, and had been a volunteer with the Sodus Fire Department Ambulance Corps.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Linda Peck, of Groton; grandchildren, Eric Peck II, of Groton, and Elizabeth and Harold Leger, of Dryden; a sister, Cora Jackson, of NC; a brother, Robert E. Wright, III, of Waverly; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Wright.

A Memorial Celebration will be announced and held at the Groton Assembly of God Church in Spring, 2025. Interment will be in the Rose Cemetery, Groton.
