Ronald A. Crysler, 73, of Moravia, passed away on November 19, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born on October 21, 1951 in Syracuse, a son of the late Horace and Virginia (Henderson) Crysler. An area resident for many years, he retired as a heavy equipment operator with the NYS Department of Transportation. He was a US Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War.  An avid hunter, outdoorsman and NASCAR fan, Ron loved making maple syrup, butchering deer, making wine, and finding every opportunity he could to make a memory with his family, friends and grandchildren. 

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karsi (Rebhan) Crysler; his children: Jamie Crysler (Suyapa), Raishell Draper (Dustin), Amanda Berry (Kevin), Patrick Berry, and Daniel Crysler (Corrine); grandchildren: Ricardo, Virginia, Joseph, Molly, Darren, Logan, Ella, Thomas, Evelyn, Vivian, Collin, Aiden, Hailey, Arianna, Clayre, Zoey; sisters, Helen Newell and Dot Snell (Rusty); sisters-in-law, Sally Crysler and Debbie Scott (George); as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. 


In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Ray & JoAnn Crysler, Bob & Bonnie Crysler, Dawn Amsbaugh, and Dick Crysler. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later time. 

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Scipio Volunteer Fire Department, 3550 NY-34, Scipio Center, NY 13147, Four Town First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 28, Moravia, NY 13118, or Southern Cayuga Instant Aid Ambulance (SCIA), P.O. Box 7, Poplar Ridge, NY 13139.
