Mary A. Grisamore, 62, of Genoa, passed away at Cayuga Medical Center on October 15, 2024 after a period of declining health.
Mary was born on September 16, 1962 in Auburn, a daughter of the late Paul R. and Christine (Henjes) Grisamore. She was a graduate of Southern Cayuga Central School and SUNY Morrisville, where she earned a degree in accounting. Mary farmed and worked throughout her life in the well-known family enterprise, Grisamore Farms, alongside her parents and sisters. She loved to travel, and she treasured her memories of excursions to Las Vegas, concerts, the rodeos and bull riding championships.
She is survived by her sisters: Susan Bower (Doug), Joanna Cornell (Tim), and Betsy Leonard (Nate), all of Genoa; and her nieces and nephews: Simon Ingall, Benjamin Bower, Jesse Ingall, Rachel Leonardo, Kody Cornell, and Gracie Cornell. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Paul Grisamore II.
A private celebration of her life will be held at Grisamore Farms at a later time.
