Mary L. Campbell

Mary L. Campbell, 75, of Groton, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024 at Hospicare in Ithaca.

Mary was born August 15, 1949 in Ithaca, daughter of the late John and Lagardia (Swartout) Lelik. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from the Ithaca City Schools. She retired after 22 years as an Administrative Assistant with Intertek in Cortland, and had worked for 20 years prior at Pall Trinity Micro. 

Mary enjoyed garage "sailing," shopping, and working & planting in her flower gardens. She also enjoyed home improvement projects and was very active in community benefits. She was a past president and member of the Corona Club, bowled in the club's leagues, and was also a member of the Carrington-Fuller Post 800 American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Darryl Campbell, of Groton; her daughter and best friend, Kim Eisenberg (Ozzie), of Newfield; step-son, David Campbell, of Cortland; her brothers, William Lelik (Pam), of Newfield, and John Jeffrey Lelik, of Richmond, VA; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Howard Lelik.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 18 at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 103 Lincoln Avenue, Groton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00- 6:00 PM, preceding the service.
