Elsie Wargo Todd, 94, of Davis Rd., Lansing NY, died peacefully surrounded by family on July 7, 2024.

Born July 5, 1930, to Joseph and Marie (Molnar) at the Wargo family farm in Pennington, NJ. Elsie graduated from Pennington Central High School and attended Trenton State Teacher’s College.

On October 21, 1950, Elsie married Tom Todd. They lived on a farm in Titusville, NJ for seven years. In 1957, Elsie and Tom moved to Freeville, NY where they owned and operated a poultry and crop farm. In 1970, Elsie, Tom, and their five children moved to Lansing, NY to expand their farming operations.

Elsie’s many interests and talents included tennis, knitting, and singing in the church choir. She enjoyed playing the piano as a young girl until recently.

She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was also an active participant in the Dryden Footlighters. Elsie loved her many Vizsla dogs.

She is survived by her children: John of Syracuse, NY, Ann (Ed) Leahy of Aurora, MO, Robert (Laurie) of Meridian, ID, Douglas (Anita) of Dubois, PA, Jake (Andrea) of Marlton, NJ, and twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister Eleanor (Wargo) Edling of Hopewell, NJ and many nieces and nephews.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Tom, and her brothers Joseph, Ernest, and Eugene.

An open house will be held at the Todd Farm, 847 Davis Road July 21, 2:30 pm for family, friends, and neighbors.

Cards can be sent to any of the five children and will be shared accordingly.
