Dewitt C. “Dewey” Marion, 90, of Aurora, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024 at home.
He was born on April 14, 1933 in Auburn, a son of the late Daniel and Lillian (Seeloff) Marion.
Dewey attended Central High School in Auburn and was employed for 36 years as a hammer
driver at Hammond & Irving (H&I). He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War era. Dewey
enjoyed golf and was a member of the Union Springs American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Faye (Densley) Marion; sons: Dewitt C. Marion II and
Daniel C. Marion, both of Auburn, and David C. Marion, of Aurora; a daughter, Ann C. Bell
(Donal), of NC; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; a sister,
Elizabeth (Bessie) Share, of Auburn; and nephews. In addition to his
parents, he was predeceased by two brothers.
At Dewey’s request, there will be no public services or calling hours. Arrangements are
entrusted to the Shurtleff Funeral Home, Genoa. Condolences may be shared at
