Dale E. St. Clair, 89, of Auburn, formerly of Genoa, passed away peacefully at Auburn Community Hospital on March 22, 2024.
Dale was born April 28, 1934 in Northumberland, PA, a son of the late Jesse and Mary (Bitler) St. Clair. He was a graduate of Union Springs High School and retired after 30 years as a machinist and foreman with McQuay International, formerly the Singer Company, in Auburn. He was a member of the United Church of Genoa. For many years he bowled with his brothers at the King Ferry Lanes. In his retirement, he enjoyed woodworking, doing jigsaw puzzles and diamond dotz pictures.
He is survived by his daughters: Brenda Streeter, Terry Pfeiffer (Jeff), Melanie Quinn (Kevin), and Heidi Van Ostrand (Rick); seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Leon St. Clair, of Moravia; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Catherine I. (Calhoun) St. Clair; a daughter, Cindy Lou; a grandson, Brett Francis Quinn; son-in-law, Larry Streeter; and brothers: Jesse, Jr., Lloyd, Hower, Larue, and Homer St. Clair.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 29 at the United Church of Genoa. Interment will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Scipioville.
