Coral M. "Mick" Reeves, 83, of Genoa, passed away peacefully at home on March 19, 2025 after a brief illness.
Mick was born February 3, 1942, a son of the late Herbert Lee and Nina (Lewis) Reeves. A lifelong area resident, he attended Genoa High School. Mick was a well-known area business owner, actively operating Reeves Farm Trucking up until his passing, and which his sons will continue to operate. He was a life member of the Genoa Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, with moose hunting trips to Canada being a treasured part of his life.
He is survived by his four sons: Douglas (Mindy), Danny, Darren (Elisa) and Corey (Becky); eight grandchildren: Theresa, Caitlyn, Tom, Lakelynn, Wayne, Matt, James, and Chad; many great-grandchildren; a brother, James Reeves; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in 2023 by his wife of 63 years, Carole Ann (Shields) Reeves; brothers: Stanley "Shine", Robert, John, Lester "Ock", Lawrence "Harley", and Edward Reeves; and sisters: Beatrice Krause, Betty Saville, Mary Arlene Keeney, Lila Hildreth, and Lena Reeves.
Friends may call from 4:00-7:00 PM on Friday, April 4 at the Shurtleff Funeral Home, 10117 State Route 90, Genoa. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 5 at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in King Ferry, with a lunch gathering to be held afterwards on Saturday at Corey's shop at 2821 Hill Road, Genoa, NY 13071.
